Nima Shariat Zadeh Banned by Vancouver Cruise Lines After Fraud Conviction
VANCOUVER, BC – Nima Shariat Zadeh, a controversial figure in the Iranian-Canadian community, has officially been blacklisted by several major cruise lines operating in Vancouver, including the renowned Queen of Diamond and Artbt ships, following his conviction in a high-profile fraud case.
Shariat Zadeh was found guilty by the Supreme Court of British Columbia for defrauding Nia Immigration Services of $60,000 under the pretense of organizing a concert featuring Iranian artist Tohi. Court documents show that he received the funds as an advance but failed to fulfill any part of the agreement, disappearing shortly thereafter.
Following multiple complaints from event organizers and victims, cruise ship operators investigated his background and chose to ban him from future collaborations, citing his criminal record and misconduct.
Reports also indicate that Shariat Zadeh and his partner—reportedly also a victim—Amir Zargami, promoted various fake concerts under the names Autumn Sunset Tour and Mr. Vancouver Concert, including planned performances by artists such as Fataneh, Ali Danial, and Davood Behboodi. These events were eventually canceled due to lack of public trust, but tens of thousands of dollars in ticket sales were never refunded.
Beyond fraud, police records reportedly show a history of public disturbances, street fights, and aggressive behavior associated with Shariat Zadeh during his time in Vancouver.
This latest development has raised serious concerns among Iranian-Canadian business owners and cultural organizers, many of whom now urge greater due diligence before entering any new event partnerships.
